GOD’S HEART FOR THE POOR


Luke 6:20—“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.”


Deuteronomy 10:18—“He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.”


1 Samuel 2:8—“He raises the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor.”



Psalm 68:5—“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.”



Psalm 69:33“For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.” 



Psalm 113:7-9—“He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people. He gives the barren women a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the LORD!”


Proverbs 14:31“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.”



Proverbs 15:25“The LORD tears down the house of the proud but maintains the widow’s boundaries.” 



Proverbs 19:17—“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.”


Proverbs 29:14—“If a king faithfully judges the poor, his throne will be established forever.”



Jeremiah 22:16—“He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Is not this to know me? declares the LORD.”



Matthew 25:40—“Truly, I say to you, as you did it t one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” 



Luke 4:18—“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.”


1 Corinthians 1:28“God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are”



2 Corinthians 8:9—“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.”



Galatians 2:10—“Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.”



James 1:27—“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

  1. God has chosen the poor to be rich in spirit, He's a father to the fatherless, the barren women hve children,can in spite of are affliction an property we are still rich. I dnt want to see my brother in need an hve the goods of this world an dnt help him, cause then then the love of God isn't in my heart.......
